All still images are captured using Canon EOS 5D 12.8 megapixal SLR cameras and Canon f2.8 lenses. Columbia Gorge Images makes it a policy to utilize 2 professional quality 3 chip digital video cameras (Sony PD 170) on every video shoot regardless of the client’s budget or choice of package. We feel the redundancy in equipment is mandated by the immediate and highly documentary nature of the wedding celebration. In the unlikely event of a camera malfunction, having a second camera on location is an absolute must. This is a maxim with all sound and still camera equipment as well.
In order to capture the highest quality sound and images on our videos, we use professional broadcast quality Sony PD 170 3 chip digital camcorders as well as Sennheiser and Audix wireless lavaliere and shotgun microphones.All video and still images are captured on Sony Premium DV Cassette and Ridata professional CF cards and archived on DVD and CD as well as external hard drives.
Printing is done using archival quality Epson inks over Epson Professional Media Premium Luster Photo paper.
